Interests

Areas:

Materials and devices for organic electronics and photonics with focus on the relationship between molecule/device structure and the performance.

Devices:

Organic solar cells (OPV), organic light emitting diodes (OLED) and lasers, organic transistors (OFET) and sensors

Materials:

Mainly phenylene vinylene based polymers and diketo-pyrrolo-pyrroles

Phenomenons:

Charge carrier photogeneration, transport and recombination in organic semiconductors, charge and energy transfer in OPV, two-photon absorption in organic semiconductors, amplified spontaneous emission for organic solid state lasers, photochromism, etc.

Techniques:

Steady state and time-resolved optical spectroscopy absorption and fluorescence, fluorescence lifetime, fluorescence quantum yield, charge and energy transfer. Laser based optical spectroscopic techniques.
Photocurrent spectroscopy and time resolved photocurrent measurements: determination of quantum yield of charge carrier generation, charge transport and charge traps, charge carrier mobility – Time of Flight, CW photoconductivity based on lock-in amplification, etc. Characterization of integral and spectrally resolved electroluminescence.
Space-charge-limited current techniques, impedance spectroscopy, characterization of conductivity and charge carrier mobility (Field Effect Transistors).
