Laboratory of Ceramic Materials

Laboratory is used to determine the chemical, phase change materials and weight during heating up
to 2400 °C. It is also possible to determine the shape of dimensional changes of heat stressed silicate materials, the representants of refractory materials, such as ceramics, glass, cement raw materials, slag, ash, as well as metallic materials.

  • technical and structural ceramics - intensification of production processes, studying of firing curves of ceramic materials to achieve desired properties, phases and structural changes during the thermal processing
  • electrotechnical ceramics - studying of firing curves to achieve desired properties,

  • non-oxide ceramics - intensification of production processes, phase and structural changes during thermal processing
  • refractory materials (dense, insulating,...) - testing the properties and resistance, consultation in the selection of refractory material, assess the condition of the lining and the analysis of material failure
  • ceramic materials - testing the properties and composition analysis of ceramic raw materials (clay, plastic soils, aggregates, flux ...)
  • special ceramic technology - the sol-gel process, bioceramics ...
    the use of secondary raw materials in ceramic technology
